      <image:title>Home - The tale of two wolves</image:title>
<image:caption>One evening, an elderly Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside each of us. He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.” “The same fight is going on inside you—and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?” The old man simply replied, “The one that you feed.”</image:caption>

      <image:title>BOARD OF DIRECTORS - JERRICA HACKETT</image:title>
<image:caption>Jerrica founded The Good Wolf Foundation under another name back in 2020. After working in Corrections for 9 years she realized a massive gap in the system; people were being released every day with no housing, identification, money or support. Jerrica quickly realized she could affect more change from outside of the system than within it- she quit working in custody centres and began managing a community residential facility (halfway house). There, Jerrica witnessed the power of supported reintegration, which only further fuelled her goals. Jerrica left Corrections altogether in 2021 to open a small cafe- The Good Wolf Cafe and Co. Her dream was to have the cafe contribute to the Foundation, fuelling its work. Unfortunately, the cafe closed in 2023 before realizing that goal- but the dream didn’t die with it. Through her work with the Ridge Meadows Community Action Team, Jerrica saw a way for her vision to become a reality, and so The Good Wolf Foundation was born again. Today, Jerrica works as a Project Coordinator for Stop Overdose Ridge Meadows, a Facilitator for local community programs, and a consultant specializing in supporting Social Enterprise Cafes.</image:caption>

      <image:title>BOARD OF DIRECTORS - GUY FELICELLA</image:title>
<image:caption>Guy Felicella is a harm reduction advocate and addiction educator who has spent 3 decades in the grips of addiction and surviving many life-threatening infections. Guy Felicella spends his time educating youth and consulting with political leaders and policymakers on the importance of alcohol and drug prevention. Guy Felicella is currently employed by Vancouver Coastal Health and BC Centre on Substance Use and delivers inspirational talks on overcoming homelessness, addiction, and the effects of trauma and mental health challenges. Through personal stories, Guy Felicella champions resilience, advocates for changing biases toward those marginalized by addiction, and emphasizes the transformative power of human connection. Guy was hired by the Ridge Meadows Community Action team on many occasions, but most notably was the inaugural speaker at our Speaking Through the STORM event. Jerrica met guy while he was mopping the common area of a living unit in jail. She asked him what he was going to do when he got out- he responded with "I want to go into schools to talk to kids. I want to tell them to stay off drugs and out of the gangs- to stay in school and out of trouble.” Jerrica encouraged Guy to pursue his dreams; knowing he had the personality and lived experience to inspire many. Years later, they reconnected- Jerrica working as a Manager with the halfway house, and Guy the hired speaker- sharing his story of overcoming addiction, homelessness and incarceration. The two remained friends and can soon be seen together on the big screen- in a documentary that will premiere in 2026 about Guy’s incredible life.</image:caption>
